A: Absolutely. Our software is licensed per user, not per desk. As you as you are the only user, you can install it onto your laptop and PC.
A: Ongoing cost is currently at $220pa.
A: No. We do not provide refund after the order as this is a software unless it is faulty which we cannot fix. Once once it is delivered we cannot control you from installing. However, in certain situation, we can provide an exchange of our other products. Hence, it is important that you evaluate our free full working version before purchase. You can also email us at support@supertech.com.au should you have any question regarding the software.
A: No difference. StockMaster is the same as StockMarket Plus. Both softwares were developed by us in Supertech. In 1998, MAUS Business licensed our technology to market StockMaster under their brand. Hence, StockMaster is marketed directly by us and StockMarket Plus is marketed by MAUS Business.
A: The major difference is that POSH Standard edition allows you to create a maximum of 2 investors (or legal entities) whereas POSH Professional allows you to create unlimited number of investors. For example, if you have three different properties, one owned in your name, the second owned in your partner's name, and the third owned in your superfund name, you will need a Professional edition.

Support

A: Transfer the data is really simple. There is no need to import or export data as all the data is stored in a single database file just like your MS Excel or MS Word file.

There are two methods to transfer the data:

Method 1: Copy the database file (eg. Stock.db for StockMaster, posh.db for POSH) to and from your laptop and PC.

Method 2: Copy the database file to the flash drive and turn on the multi-database option to connect to the database stored in your flash drive. By doing this, you will always have an up to date data in your flash drive and there is no need to copy and paste.
1. Download and install the printer driver:

Click HERE if you are running on a 32bit platform.

Click HERE if you are running on a 64bit platform.

2. After installation, open StockMaster or POSH and click Tools -> Install Printer for PDF to create a printer.

A: You can restore the database by copying the stock.db (StockMaster) or posh.db (POSH) from your back up device to the software directory (eg. c:\stockmaster) and replace the existing database file. However, you can use the multi-database option to connect to that backup database before copying as once you overwrite the existing database, it cannot be reversed.
A: Yes, you can install the evaluation provided that you have the original POSH or StockMaster full installation CD and backup the database. Once the evaluation is installed, your existing POSH or StockMaster will also be transformed as an evaluation version. After the evaluation period, you must install the original StockMaster / POSH CD to convert it back to the previous full functional version. Generally, it is recommended that you install the evaluation on a brand new computer.
A: To move StockMaster or POSH on a new computer,
   1. Install the full installation of StockMaster / POSH from your CD*.
   2. Copy the stock.db or posh.db to the new computer.
   3. Install the latest upgrade.
* If you lost the original full installation backup or CD, you can order it online at: http://www.supertech.com.au/order/ at a special member price. Simply select Support in the product list and enter ""Replacement" in the Detail Instruction field. This is only available to current StockMaster / POSH member.
A: After you bought or sold the shares, received the dividend statements, simply enter them in StockMaster. When you want to get an update value of your portfolio, simply import the latest share price data or subscribe to our share price data plan.
A: Yes, StockMaster was built on Windows 10 and compatibile with Windows 7 / 8 / 10 64bit platform. If you experienced a database error, please send us your database (stock.db) for upgrade. For those who are running the older version, you can try to open the Property window from the executable (right mouse click the StockMaster icon and select Properties) and tick the Compatible with XP and Run as an administrator in the Compatibility tab.
AA: The reason is that, according to the ATO, the indexation rule can only be used for assets acquired before 21/09/1999. If the shares are sold today, the sell CPI will be freezed in the Sep 1999 quarter (not the current CPI quarter). Hence, in most cases, the discount rule will result in a lesser capital gains tax. StockMaster preformed a check in both cases and if the discount rule is used, the indexation factor will be just 1.
A: No. StockMaster uses the same database file, stock.db. You can either copy the stock.db from the StockMarket Plus directory (eg. C:\program files\stockmarket\market\stock.db) to the StockMaster directory (eg. C:\stockmaster\stock.db) or use multidatabase features
Mult-database is a feature within StockMaster and POSH to allow you to make mulitple copy of the database and connect to the selected one at start up.
To turn on the multi-databases option and connect to the database file stored in other directory:

a. Tick the multi-database checkbox in the Option window (Tool -> Options)
b. Close the software
c. Run the software again.
d. Click the Profile button in Connect Database window
e. Create a new profile.
f. Connect to that profile.
A: You can add your own council by clicking the "…" button next to the council drop down box. The councils loaded are for your own reference only and it is not important. The important field is the state when you can enter NSW, QLD, WA, VIC…etc and the stamp duty is automatically calculated based on this state field.
A: If you have registered the software but this registration screen appears each time when you run POSH, you will need to run this application as an Administrator.
To run POSH as an administrator, right mouse click on the icon or posh.exe and select Run as administrator from the Popup menu.
